Concrete & masonry
Clean concrete is recycled. Keep it separate in a heavy-load can — up to 20,000 lbs per load.
Scrap metal
Steel, aluminum and other metals are recycled. Run a metal can next to your trash can.
How to set up a diversion job
- Call before mobilization. Tell us the project, the spec or diversion target, and the materials you expect.
- We stage separate containers for clean concrete, metal and mixed C&D.
- Keep streams clean. Trash in a concrete or metal can sends the whole load to the landfill.
- Ask about documentation for LEED, municipal, healthcare and education submittals — we'll tell you up front what we can provide.
Recycling questions
Do you recycle construction waste?
Yes. Clean concrete and scrap metal are recycled instead of landfilled. Keep them in separate containers so they can be recycled.
Can you help with LEED or diversion requirements on a public or institutional bid?
Yes. Call before the job and tell us what your spec requires. We'll set up separate concrete and metal containers and tell you up front what documentation we can provide for your project.
Does recycling cost more?
Usually the opposite. Clean, separated concrete and metal loads keep weight out of your trash dumpster and avoid landfill tonnage. Mixed loads cost more.
